Free scarf and wrap knitting pattern for your yarn
Enter the width, length and your gauge: the builder fits the cast-on to the stitch repeat, counts the rows and yarn, and writes out every row. Scarves and wraps are free in full — no subscription.
How many stitches to cast on
The width is divided by the pattern repeat: cast-on = borders on both sides + edge stitches + a whole number of repeats. A 30 cm scarf in Horseshoe lace comes to 67 sts — 6 repeats of 10 sts.

Scarf or wrap
A scarf is 20–35 cm wide and 150–200 cm long. A wrap is wider, 50–70 cm, and takes roughly twice the yarn. For lace, go up 0.5–1 mm in needle size so the fabric stays light.
Stitch pattern and borders
Choose a lace (Horseshoe, Arrowhead, Old Shale, faggoting, mesh) or garter, seed stitch or rib. Stockinette curls at the edges, so the builder warns you and adds a border. Always block lace — wash it and dry it stretched so the pattern opens up.
