Left cross cable (2/2 LC, C4F)
The partner of the right cross: ropes, braids, horseshoe.
How to do it
- Work to the cable stitches.
- Slip 2 sts to a cable needle and hold in front.
- Knit the next 2 stitches (or purl them for purl crosses).
- Knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle.
Tip
A 1/1 cross can be worked without a cable needle: knit the second stitch without slipping it off, then the first, and slip both off.
Common mistake
Crossing on WS rows when working flat makes the pattern "break".
