Knit front and back (kfb)

Quick increases at the edge, in garter stitch where the bump does not show.

1. Knit the stitch but do NOT slip it off the left needle

2. Knit the same stitch again, through the BACK loop, and now slip it off. Two stitches from one
3. Result: two stitches with a small bump beside them. The increase is visible, so it suits edges

How to do it

  1. Knit the stitch but do not slip it off.
  2. Knit the same stitch again tbl.
  3. Slip the stitch off: there are now two on the right needle.

Common mistake

It leaves a bump in stockinette: for a raglan, M1L/M1R is better.
