Buttonholes

Cardigan bands.

Buttonhole: on a row in the middle of the band, bind off 2 sts, and on the next row cast on 2 sts above them with the cable cast-on. The pattern builder works out the buttonhole spacing

How to do it

  1. At the middle of the band height, bind off 2 stitches.
  2. On the next row, cast on 2 stitches over the bound-off ones using the cable cast-on.
  3. The pattern builder calculates the buttonhole positions.

Tip

For small buttons, "yo, k2tog" is enough.
