Boat
A wide shoulder-to-shoulder neckline: sweaters with a Japanese or drop shoulder.
How to do it
- Width ≈ neck/2 + 9 cm (the neckline reaches almost to the shoulders).
- Front depth 2–4 cm: bind off the center and work 1–2 decreases.
- Back: the same, or 1 cm shallower.
Tip
The narrow shoulders after a boat neck are easy to join with a three-needle bind-off.
